You all remember that gorgeous bralette pattern I brought you a few blog posts back right?? Well, the Made For Mermaids Mama Bridgette Bralette found a new best friend to show her off. I’m happy to introduce, Mama Stella!
This gorgeous top is like 4 patterns for the price of one!!! It is loaded with so many style options I can’t even begin to name them but I’ll give you a rundown. The main option is you can choose from a keyhole back, off the shoulder, v back with ties, or plain back. You also have 4 sleeve lengths to choose from and either top or tunic length. Plus the hacks are endless. It’s perfect for lounging, cute workout gear, or dressing up. I sewed up both the keyhole and the off the shoulder and have the other two on my list! Fair warning this pattern is addictive! Bonus, It shows off all those cute Bridgettes you worked so hard on! There are a ton of fabric options but overall you want something with drape. You can see the ones I sewed below. (Sizing Tip- I am a rectangle shape and tend to have my measurements go from a small everywhere else out to a large at the waist. I didn’t do any grading with this but instead went by my bust measurement and was very happy with the fit. Remember, different fabrics will give you different fits as well!)
For this keyhole back I used a sweater knit for the main body and a drapey french terry for the arms and bands with 3/4 length sleeve and a tunic length. (I used tunic length for all mine as I tend to fear shirt length but honestly, I can’t wait to make my next one shirt length for a more dressed up look! )
This next Stella I did the off the shoulder option in a drapey french terry (poly rayon spandex), long sleeve, and tunic length. This one will be getting a ton of wear!!
For my final one, I used a gorgeous DBP from The Fab Clique ( It’ll be stocking later this month ;)) and did a keyhole back, tunic length, and short sleeves.
I mentioned I haven’t had the time to sew the v-back version yet but my lovely friend Caitlin Towry gave me permission to share hers! You can also see a ton of the tester photos as well as hacks when you click the link to the pattern.
As you can see it’s easy to get addicted, so join the fun and grab it Here while it’s on sale through Sunday 2/18! There is also a girls option and bundle if you have a little one dress! It makes the most adorable Mommy and Me set. Can’t wait to see what you all make!
P.S. If you are still making Bridgettes like me, Surge Fabric Shop just stocked a ton of new lace! If you haven’t purchased from them use that link for a 10% off coupon!
